Factory fire in Peel

by isleofman.com 18th April 2007
A stray spark during metal cutting is thought to have caused a fire at a factory in Peel.

Ten fire-fighters fought the blaze last night at a factory under renovation on the Ramsey Road.

Crews used a jet on the flames while officers in breathing apparatus were sent into what's been described as 'difficult conditions'. They stayed at the scene for more than three hours.

The blaze began in the roof - there are no suspicious circumstances.
