Undercarriage concern at Ronaldsway

by isleofman.com 18th April 2007
A Jetstream passeger service from Birmingham landed safely at Ronaldsway just before 6pm today, after the pilot radioed ahead with concerns over possible under-carriage problems.

Emergency services stood by as the plane touched down without incident, and the 18 people onboard disembarked.

Airport Director Ann Reynolds (pictured) said the radio message came through when the plane was seven or eight minutes from the Island, and the turnout of emergency services was standard procedure in the circumstances.

It's understood roads around the airport were closed to traffic while fire and police officers dealt with the incident.
