Johnson remanded on breach charge

A 41 year old man who was granted bail in the sum of ?10,000 last week has appeared before the High Bailiff charged with breach of the bail.

John Robert Johnson of Fairway Drive, Onchan is charged with conspiracy, and is alleged to have breached one his bail conditions by having been in contact with the prosecution witness on April 14th.

His advocate Jerry Carter said the defendant would deny the allegation of the breach and he urged that the bail be renewed.

Mr Moyle refused and remanded Johnson in custody until April 24th.
