Talks to continue over golf clubhouse

It appears plans to build a new clubhouse at Douglas golf course have teed off, but there could be a fair way to go yet.

Douglas Council Leader David Christian and DoLGE Minister John Shimmin are due to meet soon to discuss the scheme.

Mr Shimmin recently voiced concerns over whether Douglas ratepayers would be getting value for money from the ?1.5 million development.

But Mr Christian believes the facility will be of benefit to all local residents (audio fileattached):
