Army inquest into Smith death

by isleofman.com 16th April 2007
It's been revealed an inquest into the death of a Manx-born soldier in Iraq will be held soon.

19 year old Kingsman Adam Smith and three other British soldiers were killed last week in a roadside bomb blast in Basra.

Insurgents struck their Warrior armoured vehicle as they returned from a patrol.

The bodies of the four soldiers were flown to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire on board a C-17 aircraft.

Kingsman Smith's favourite football club, Everton, is planning a minute’s silence for him before the home game against Charlton Athletic on Sunday.
