Call for Onchan and Braddan to work together

A better service for Onchan and Braddan ratepayers.

That’s what an Onchan commissioner is asking to be explored.

Brian Stowell believes that by sharing resources, ratepayers in both districts could benefit from an increased level of service, as well as the possibility of making savings.

Mr Stowell admits it’s unlikely discussions would lead to any concrete proposal at this stage.

However, he feels failure to talk would demonstrate a lack of vision by political members.

At Monday evening’s board meeting, Mr Stowell has tabled a motion asking to meet Braddan Commissioners to discuss options.
