Healthy job prospects

According to the Government's Economic Affairs Advisor, employment prospects are good in the Isle of Man at the moment and should be able to handle the recent redundancies at a Ramsey firm.

Charterhouse Group International laid off 78 members of staff, around one third of its workforce, a fortnight ago, and said staff reductions were necessary to safeguard the company’s future.

The firm said the move would be implemented over the next three months.
