Want to quit smoking - help is at hand!

by isleofman.com 12th April 2007
A new service to help people give up smoking is starting in Peel.

It's the first dedicated session being run by Quit4You, launched as part of the Public Health Department's Tobacco Strategy.

Peel has been chosen to host the pilot scheme, because there are no G.P.'s surgeries or pharmacies in the area which offers such help.

Tobacco Strategy Co-ordinator, Anita Imberger (pictured), says group sessions provide the motivation and support that some people need (audio file attached):

The first 'taster' session is Monday, April 16 between 5.30pm and 6.30pm at the Age Concern Day Centre.
