Upper Douglas sites considered for Palatine Health Centre relocation

by isleofman.com 12th April 2007
Sites in upper Douglas are to be considered as talks continue over the planned relocation of the Palatine Health Centre.

The practice in Murray’s Road is no longer adequate to meet patient and staff needs and has twice as many doctors as when it first opened two decades ago.

Car parking is also considered a major problem.

After a meeting between Health Minister Eddie Teare (pictured) and MHKs, the DHSS has agreed to consider further sites in upper Douglas suggested by members.

A location at Strang Corner in Braddan is still the department's preferred site.
