TT Marshals back one-way Mountain

The TT Marshals Assocation has given its backing to the imposition of one-way traffic on a section of the mountain road during TT.

The scheme will operate between Ramsey Hairpin and Creg-ny-Baa for the entire fortnight with the aim of preventing head-on collisions.

But the Marshals have raised concerns about the extra journey time involved, especially during practice week.

A meeting is to be held next week with the police and Clerk of the Course, to thrash out the details.

The Association's Chairman and Chief Marshal Roger Hurst suggests the marshalls may need police escorts to get into position in time:
