New stamps issued

by isleofman.com 10th April 2007
Eight watercolours by the renowned Manx artist Norman Sayle feature on a set of stamps issued by Isle of Man Post this week.

The issue - featuring a variety of Manx scenes - including coastline, a harbour, castle and Manx cottage - co-incide with Mr Sayle's 80th birthday year.

Norman Sayle inspired generations of Manx art students as head of the foundation course at the Isle of Man College and went on to be honoured by the Royal Institute of Painters.

The set of eight stamps will be issued on Thursday April 12th.
