Ramsey Grammar School extension progressing

by isleofman.com 8th April 2007
More than a third of a million pounds is needed to complete work on an extension at Ramsey Grammar School.

The Department of Education will ask this month's sitting of Tynwald to endorse an additional ?347,000 to complete work on the new Medway building.

Poor ground conditions during the first phase and the need to install sprinklers has added to the cost of the project.

If approved, the extra funds will be used to furnish the food technology suite, install interactive white boards and create a new parking area. The funding would also buy computer-aided equipment for Design and Technology students.

The new facility is due to open in Spetember.
