Brown jailed again

by isleofman.com 6th April 2007
A 45 year old man who breached his prison licence has been sent back to prison for 30 days.

Liam Dixon Brown of David Gray House admitted that he failed to report to his Probation Officer in January, February and March this year.

He was sentenced to two years in custody last November for offences of threats to kill, and the expiry date was in September.

His advocate Paul O'Neill said the defendent had a valid reason for one absence as he was in hospital, but he admitted he turned up late on other occasions and the Probation Officer refused to see him due to lateness.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle told him the offence was very serious and he didn't see why people on licence should be given three chances, when the conditions had been clearly explained.
