Smoking ban consultation 'disappointing'

The response to the Department of Local Government and the Environment's smoking ban consultation has been 'very disappointing'.

Food Safety Manager, Ivan Bratty, says it only received about a dozen replies, although the Licensing Forum responded on behalf of pubs and restaurant.

A ban will be implemented here next March; the final place in the British Isles to stub it out.

Mr Bratty says concerns about possible job losses as a result of the ban appear to be unfounded:
