'Obfuscation' by Chief Minister claimed in Keys

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2007
Chief Minister Tony Brown has been accused of withholding details of the changes made to the Island's common purse agreement.

Michael member, David Cannan, wanted to know when the changes to the Customs and Excise agreement will be debated by Tynwald.

Mr Brown (pictured, right) stated the existing agreement is not changed and Mr Cannan was confusing it with the new sharing agreement.

Mr Cannan issued this angry response:

The matter will be put to Tynwald at the May sitting for debate.
