by isleofman.com 31st March 2007
A Douglas man tackling what’s described as the toughest footrace on earth is lying in 234th place after the penultimate stage.

Lee Watson’s moved up sixty places in just one day in the Marathon Des Sables - a six day 243 kilometre endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

He’s hoping to join an elite club of only 50 competitors to have completed the event three times.
