Ballakermeen fundraiser

by isleofman.com 29th March 2007
Pupils from Ballakermeen High School have raised almost ?1300 for the MSPCA.

A Year 8 tutor group organised a sponsored walk earlier this year, after being disgusted at the cruel treatment of a dog found dead at Sulby reservoir.

Initially the money was going to split between the animal charity and the reward fund, but after consulting with Police, it was agreed the money would be better used by the MSPCA.

The death of the labrador is still under investigation.
