Pedestrian injured in road accident

A 60-year old pedestrian remains seriously injured in hospital, after being knocked down in a road accident at the weekend.

The man was walking on the New Castletown Road near his home in Anagh Coar on Sunday afternoon when he was in collision with a motorbike.

Police say he's in a serious but stable condition in Noble's Hospital (pictured) - he's thought to have suffered severe leg injuries.

The motorcyclist - from Tromode - suffered only minor injuries.

Witnesses to the accident - near Pulrose Farm Cottages - are asked to contact police on 631444.
