LegCo elections

by isleofman.com 26th March 2007
One of the two candidates in tomorrow's fifth round of elections for the vacant seat on the Legislative Council, says he believes the council provides a useful safeguard.

Dr David Moore, the MHK for Peel between 1978 and 1986, says despite his previous experience in Manx politics, he believes common sense is the most valuable thing he can bring to LEGCO.

Dr Moore believes life on the Island has improved since he was last in politics, but he does have some reservations:

The other candidate in tomorrow's election is retired accountant and former Laxey Commissioner David Owens.
