Cowin sentencing adjourned

The High Bailiff has adjourned sentence on a Port St Mary man.

23 year old Alistair John Cowin of Seafield Avenue, admitted a charge of assaulting a police officer whilst resisting arrest.

Inspector Helen Mason said police were called to Seafield Avenue at 4am on December 16th following a domestic dispute involving the defendant's mother.

The defendant opened the door and there was an immediate scuffle, causing the defendant and one officer to end up on the floor. The officer sustained cuts to his hands.

Compensation of ?200 was requested, and Cowin was bailed until April 10th.
