Bogus roofers

by isleofman.com 22nd March 2007
Police in Ramsey are urging homeowners to be wary of cold-callers offering roofing services.

Officers have received reports a group of men have been quoting highly inflated prices for work, and pressurising people to accept their quotes.

Anyone who has been approached is advised to contact police or Trading Standards.

PC Sloane says the group is 'adopting unscrupulous business practices and possible offences'.
