Assault in busy street

by isleofman.com 22nd March 2007
Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a 59 year old man was assaulted.

It happened around the junction of Strand Street and Howard Street at 5.45 yesterday afternoon.

A 29 year old man was arrested shortly afterwards and has since been released on police bail.

Police say Strand Street was quite busy at the time and they would like to speak to a man and a woman in a green Honda car with 'R' plates, seen driving along Strand Street.

They believe they may have valuable information which would help the investigation.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Constable Paul Kemp at Lord Street police station on 631 212 or use Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
