Bell's budget passed

Tynwald has backed this year's budget following a four and a half hour debate.

In the House of Keys, members voted 22 in favour and two against and in Legco, the voting was unanimous.

Some of the key points Treasury Minister Allan Bell announced were an increase in spending on public services, income tax personal allowances being increased by 2.1% whilst standard rate of personal income tax stays at 10%, with the higher rate remaining at 18%.
