New version of sea rescue story

An Onchan woman who was rescued from a boat in the Irish sea last week, says it's not true she and her son were suffering from severe seasickness and the early stages of hypothermia, as had previously been reported.

Jayne Stafford was on her and her husband's cabin cruiser, 'Kerry Lee', with her 14 year old son and a Manx skipper she had hired to bring the boat back from Glasson Dock.

Liverpool coastguards were contacted for help by the skipper in the early hours of last Thursday morning, which resulted in Mrs Stafford and her son being airlifted to Furness Hospital in Cumbria.

Mrs Stafford says she started to worry when she realised they were travelling in circles and the skipper told her he didn't know how to use the boat's satellite navigation system (audio file attached):
