Manx and the EU

The Celtic League says being left out of a European report into minority languages could mean Manx is doing well.

The Council of Europe has issued its second report into the charter for regional and minority languages in the UK.

In it, there are recommendations for improving the use of Scottish, Welsh and Irish Gaelic, but nothing about Manx.

The Celtic League’s director of information Bernard Moffatt (pictured) says that could mean we’re supporting our language more than in other areas.
