Minister says EMI project still alive

Plans to build an elderly mentally infirm unit in Farmhill as part of a new Heritage Homes development were shelved last week due to a lack of funding within the DHSS.

Now, the developers are expected to build 34 new houses rather than the 21 originally planned for the site.

Health Minister Eddie Teare (pictured) says the problem wasn't the actual building cost, and the project hasn't been cancelled:
