Call for Island veterans

Island veterans are being urged to take part in an event marking their contribution to their country.

In June, the Island will hold a Veteran’s Day celebration for those who've served in the armed forces.

The organising committee comprises representatives of the various service associations.

Norman Butler (pictured), chairman of the war pensions committee, was nominated by the Royal British Legion to be chairman of the national committee.

He hopes as many veterans as possible are involved (audio file attached):
