MNH resource online

by isleofman.com 17th March 2007
Manx National Heritage has launched a new online learning resource.

Three resource packs - Manx Mines Rocks and Minerals, Manx Sea Fishing 1600-1990s and Manx Farming and Country Life 1700-1900, are now available online for both formal and informal learning.

The publications, which were produced by the late Fred Radcliffe and funded by the Manx Heritage Foundation, are the result of many years research and will assist teachers in the planning and delivery of the Manx Curriculum to Manx schools.

Each of the curriculum based packs include a ‘resource book’ to provide teachers with a detailed background into each of the subjects and ‘pupil cards’ which can be used by children for topic based learning.

Through collaboration with the Foundation and the Department of Education, the publications can be downloaded as PDF files from the education pages on Manx National Heritage’s website.
