Legco nominations (Round 5)

by isleofman.com 17th March 2007
There are just a few more hours before we know the line-up for the fifth round of voting to try and fill the one remaining vacant seat on the Legislative Council.

Nominations close at 5 o'clock this evening (Fri) and it's understood there's at least one new name on the nomination paper.

At the last round retired chartered accountant and former Laxey commissioner David Owens polled eleven votes, two short of the 13 required.

The other candidates, bank official and Ramsey commissioner Richard Radcliffe and former MHK and MLC Leonard Singer received five votes each.

A fifth vote will be taken at the sitting of the House of Keys on March 27th
