Apartments appeal heard

by isleofman.com 14th March 2007
An appeal by Heritage Homes, to build 60 apartments at the site of Manx Petroleum's Depot between South Quay and Head Road, has been heard today (Wednesday).

Planners turned down the application in September, saying such development would be an eyesore.

Residents in the area are concerned about the impact it would have.

South Douglas MHK, Liberal Vannin member Bill Malarkey, was asked to help their cause.

Mr Malarkey was last year involved in the battle against building on land in the Farmhill area.
