Mountain Road reopens after fatal crash

by isleofman.com 14th March 2007
The Mountain Road has been re-opened following further police investigations into last night's fatal car accident.

At around 10:30pm on Tuesday, a local man lost control of a red hatchback at the Graham memorial as he was heading towards Douglas. The car collided with banking on the right hand side of the road before coming to rest on the Douglas bound carriageway.

The driver was taken to hospital but died later from his injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses who either saw the accident or who saw the car being driven earlier in the evening on the Mountain Road or in the Ramsey area around the time of the accident.

The man hasn't yet been named.
