New Ramsey school

Ramsey could have a new junior school by next September (2008).

The Department of Education will ask Tynwald this month for funds for the construction of a facility on Lezayre Road alongside the new Auldyn School, and it would replace Albert Road Junior School which is over 100 years old.

Education Minister Anne Craine (pictured) says the ?7m project will complete a major redevelopment of schools in Ramsey, and she believes the site on Lezayre Road is the ideal situation for the new school:
