Nursing home costs - action needed

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson is calling for immediate action from the Department of Health and Social Security on the rising costs of nursing and residential care.

Although the Office of Fair Trading is already holding an investigation into price rises, Mr Henderson says people are growing desperate waiting for the outcome.

He claims some have been threatened with eviction because they can’t meet the high costs.

Mr Henderson says it’s time the government took action to help those in need:
