Fuelling facility removed

by isleofman.com 9th March 2007
The fuelling facility at Port St Mary harbour has been temporarily removed to safe storage.

The Department of Transport has taken the action after the facility sustained minor damage last weekend.

It will now be repaired without further risk of damage or pollution due to the severe weather and sea conditions.

The Department intends to return the facility to the Pier before the summer season, when the use of the facility will be monitored and interested parties consulted so the Department can decide on the need for it to remain in place next winter.
