No plans for Community Cops

The Department of Home Affairs has NO plans to introduce police community support officers.

The news was confirmed in the Keys this morning by Home Affairs Minister Martin Quayle.

Mr Quayle also told the House that the Chief Constable did not have any ambitions for such a move, even though PCSO's as they are known, have been introduced in major cities in the UK.

He said levels of reassurance among the public on the Island remain high:
