Tagging basking sharks

by isleofman.com 5th March 2007
A tracking project due to begin this summer aims to reveal valuable facts about the growing numbers of basking sharks which visit Manx waters.

Electronic tags will be attached to five of the massive animals, which will remain on them for up to a year.

But there's a call for more funding - the Manx Wildlife Trust had wanted to tag double that number.

The Trust's Director is Duncan Bridges.
