Care home meeting

A second public meeting was held last night (Thurs) to address the concerns local residents have over plans for a care home for young people at Ardbraccan House in Mill Road, Surby.

The meeting was co-hosted by Rushen MHK's Phil Gawne and Quintin Gill. Health Minister Eddie Teare attended, along with the Director of Social Services and the Chief Executive of the DHSS, in order to try and allay the fears of local residents.

Mr Gawne (pictured) says he believes they received an improved response from the DHSS, and the minister apologised for how the situation had been dealt with so far:
