Candidate says Braddan can stand alone

by isleofman.com 2nd March 2007
A candidate in next week's Braddan commissioners' bye-election believes the parish should retain its individual identity in any reform of local government.

Alan Blaney, who previously served on the board for five months, some years ago, is also keen to see improved facilities for young people in the area and wants the rural nature of the parish to be retained, in the face of development.

He believes the current board does a good job, and says it's big enough to look after its own interests (audio file attached):

The Braddan commissioners bye-election is next Thursday, March 8.
