Need to monitor wildlife change

The Director of the Manx Wildlife Trust says we need to monitor changes in our environment in order to gauge the effects of climate change.

Duncan Bridges says there are clear signs plants and animals are emerging and are active earlier this year.

However, he says unseasonably warm weather followed by a cold snap can mean they suffer.

Mr Bridges says temperatures fluctuate from year to year, and the only way to assess the affects of our climate is to compare annual observations:
