Cowell - sentence adjourned

Sentence on a 20 year old woman has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for reports.

Tara Cowell of Hailwood Avenue, Douglas, admitted the theft of goods valued at over ?300 from Marks and Spencer on December 8th. She also admitted being in breach of a licensing order.

Inspector Helen Mason, prosecuting, said the defendant was seen on CCTV taking the goods and then leaving without paying. On November 14th at 10.50pm the defendant was seen in Guys and Dolls nightclub and on being recognised as a banned person from licensed premises was refused service.
She left immediately when told to.

Police viewed CCTV which clearly showed Cowell on the premises. She was spoken to at 1.50pm on November 24th and admitted she was in the premises but could give no reason.

Cowell was bailed by Mr Moyle to March 20th.
