Park incident

Police are looking for man who scared a group of youngsters in a Douglas Park yesterday.

The incident happened in Hutchinson Square gardens at around 8.30pm. The man approached the group who were aged between 11 and 13 - they ran away from the man but he then followed them.

He's described as being around 50 years old, of medium build and approximately five foot eight in height. He had short grey hair and was wearing rectangular metal rimmed glasses.

He was wearing a green long sleeved sweat shirt type jumper with a three quarter length zip and dark coloured jeans.

Police say they would like to speak with the man and anyone who has information is asked to ring police headquarters on 631 212.
