Leece Lodge to be reopened

Cottages at the Leece Lodge care complex where two Isle of Man teenagers were murdered are to be reopened.

Samantha Barton and George Green were found stabbed and strangled at the residential complex five years ago - their relatives have since called for the cottages to be demolished.

But the Department of Health and Social Security says the premises are needed to house hospital staff during the TT festival.

DHSS Minister Eddie Teare (pictured) says it has been a difficult decision - but in the end they could not justify pulling down two usable buildings:
