Freedom campaigner talk tonight

The Director of the Campaign for the Freedom of Information will be addressing an audience on the Isle of Man this evening (Mon).

Maurice Frankel OBE has been invited here by the Positive Action Group who have been campaigning for a freedom of information act on the Island which they claim is needed in order to have truly transparent government.

A consultation period is currently underway.

Mr Frankel says the Act is predominantly about the attitude of public authorities:
