Boundaries deadline

by isleofman.com 24th February 2007
Monday is the final day to submit comments to the Boundary Review Committee.

Public opinion has been sought on issues such as constituency size, if voter numbers should determine that size and whether all should have the same number of MHKs.

The committee was due to report to Tynwald later this year on re-drawing some constituency boundaries to reflect changes in population around the Island.

However, that has now been put on hold after Tynwald this week agreed to suspend the committee’ work until the outcome of the Constitution Bill is known.
