Port St Mary discuss harbour future

by isleofman.com 19th February 2007
A consultation group has been formed to develop improvements at Port St Mary harbour.

The Southern port has been earmarked for years for a marina, but that has been subject to considerable slippage over the years.

The inaugural meeting of the group was hosted by the Department of Transport and took place in Port St Mary Commissioners’ office.

The group involves a wide range of harbour users and community representatives. Its job is to be a steering group to determine what opportunities there are for the harbour and how it might be developed. The group will liaise with a soon-to-be-appointed Project Manager.
