Seven Stations Walking Challenge

A warm-up to the 85 mile Parish walk is being offered in exchange for some fund-raising.

'The Seven Stations Walking Challenge' is being held in April to raise money for the Fire Services Benevolent Fund.

The 50 mile stomp will take in every station around the Island, a distance of 50 miles.

Competitor numbers are not limited, and it's hoped the event will become an annual occasion.

Chief Officer, Brian Draper, says the Benevolent Fund is a very worthy cause which helps get fire fighters back to work after injury:
