New postal scam alert

by isleofman.com 19th February 2007
A North Douglas MHK is supporting efforts by Isle of Man Police's Financial Crime Unit to combat postal scams.

Bill Henderson says a number of his constituents, particularly elderly and vulnerable ones, have been targeted by the fraudsters.

Letters ask the recipient to contact an "investment consultant" at an Italian bank and provide personal details, so large amounts of money can be paid into their accounts.
