Rock the Rock called off

by isleofman.com 13th February 2007
The Rock the Rock festival has been called off by organisers.

The huge rock and pop concert was due to take place in Douglas in July, but it’s believed investors have pulled out, leaving the festival high and dry.

Although no acts had been confirmed to play, 14,000 tickets had been reserved by local people and credit card payments were being accepted at the festival’s website.

It’s believed organisers blame the project’s failure on a lack of support from businesses and the government.
