Police are investigating an incident which took place last weekend, sometime between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday.

No specific details have been given but officers say they would like to speak to anyone who saw a distressed woman on her own in the East Quay/Mill Road area of Peel.

They would also like to speak to a man who was driving a yellow van who went to help the woman.

Anyone who can assist is asked to ring police headquarters on 631 212.
