Ballaquayle Road attack

Police are looking for a man who carried out what's being described as a 'vicious attack'.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Friday (9th) at the bus stop on Ballaquayle Road in Douglas near to St Mary's school.

The man responsible for the assault was seen to get out of a green minibus taxi.

The man who was assaulted had been waiting for a bus at the time and he was attacked as the number 22 bus pulled into the bus stop.

Officers believe it's possible that the driver of the bus of passengers could have seen something of the assault. The victim was also approached by two young women in a car who were concerned for his safety, and police would like to speak to them or anyone who may have information about the incident.

The man who was attacked received minor injuries but his attacker left the scene prior to police being called.
